- ConvChat is a customer and app messaging platform: an embeddable live-chat widget, a shared team inbox, optional AI on Growth and Scale, email continuation, encrypted app user chat and an optional WhatsApp handoff mode. It's a per-project alternative to Crisp, Intercom and Zendesk.
- How is ConvChat different from Crisp, Intercom and Zendesk?
- ConvChat charges a predictable price per project instead of per seat. Growth and Scale include the AI agent with no per-resolution fee. Projects can also use encrypted user-to-user or group chat inside an app, or switch to a direct WhatsApp handoff.
- Is the AI agent included in the price?
- The FAQ/AI agent is included on Growth and Scale with no credits or per-resolution fee. Starter is human-first and does not include automated AI replies.
- Does ConvChat charge per seat?
- No. Every plan includes unlimited agents. Pricing is per project — one website, brand or app environment counts as one billable project.
- How much does ConvChat cost?
- ConvChat has three per-project plans billed yearly: Starter at CHF 49/mo (1,000 conversations), Growth at CHF 99/mo (5,000 conversations) and Scale at CHF 200/mo (20,000 conversations). Contact us if a project needs more. Access is currently invite-only.
- Can I manage several websites from one inbox?
- Yes. Add each website as a separately billed project, then manage them together in one shared inbox. Conversations are colour-coded by project so agencies can keep every client site clear and fast to operate.
- Can ConvChat power chat between users in my app?
- Yes. App user chat is included: your backend signs short-lived access for each app user, then ConvChat opens a direct or group conversation. It works for marketplaces, member portals, healthcare apps and any product where signed-in users need a drop-in messaging surface.
- Can direct app messages be encrypted?
- Yes. The widget can encrypt app-user message bodies in the browser with AES-GCM before storing them. Workspace owners can require encrypted payloads for a project, so messages without the client-side encryption key fail closed.
- Does ConvChat replace WhatsApp?
- No. ConvChat includes a WhatsApp handoff mode for projects that prefer to support visitors in WhatsApp: the widget opens a prefilled WhatsApp conversation with the project admin. It is not a WhatsApp Business shared inbox.
